Aso lobbied to get moved around in the defense this offseason and supposedly was granted that wish. He should be blanketing a team's top reciever- especially in a case such as AZ where they have a clear #1 guy- the week after he'll get his shot at Andre Johnson.
If Nnamdi is as good as people say he is then our DC should have no problem using him against their top threat the whole game. People generally don't throw at him, but that won't be the case if he's locked in on Fitz or AJ. I guess i'll still be kinda surprised if the Raiders do use him that way but it would be stupid not to. Let's see if he's really good enough to shut these guys down.

Yes, if they really move him to cover Fitz it should be interesting.

We'll see just how many plays he makes. I'll be watching Nnamdi. The good news is Fitz will have Derrick Andersen throwing the ball instead of Kurt Warner. So, Nnamdi, no excuses for you not making plays on Sunday right? ;)

My guess is that the Raiders don't pair Aso to Fitz all over the field. Aso has played on one side for so long, they will force Fitz over to that side, and double him on the other side more often than not.

if the Raiders are not willing to use Aso to negate their best player then he is overpaid and overrated.

if the Raiders are not willing to use Aso to negate their best player then Al is a senile old fart who has no business running a football team.

Fixed that for you.

That I agree with.

Okay, both are correct answers.

We need more production from this guy in the form of making plays. ``If the mountain won't come to Muhammad, Muhammad must go to the mountain" or some shit like that. :p

When he wasn't respected and QBs were attacking him, we all saw how he responded. It's not his fault if he's misused.

Flipping Aso to the other side also means flipping Routt. I don't know if that is an issue, but my guess is, they both play better on the sides they are use to. So, the upgrade you may get by flipping Aso to track Fitz, may be offset by flipping Routt, when doubling Fitz may work better, at least on obvious passing downs.

Also, we can't just flip Aso when we bring pressure. That will tip our hand. If we are going to flip Aso, we have to do it consistently.

You know what I would like to see from Nnams?... When we're facing teams without the "star" #1 type receiver, I'd like to see him used as a rover, much the way we did with Woodson before he got all dinged up and much the way Capers currently used Woodson...

Put him in the middle of the field and let him read the QB and make some plays...

I'd like to see Nnamdi continue to shut down everyone who lines up on his side of the field which he has done since 2006. Being that corners are there to keep the other guy from catching the ball and ours does that better than anyone, I think we may have a good one here.

I would prefer to see him and the defense on the field for about 3 plays a quarter.

The not broke don't fix it crowd wants to fix our pass-D by having Aso track Fitz. I just want Marshall not to be predictable.

Just sayin.

I don't care where Aso is, all I care about is that we just shut em' down and produce coverage sacks with our beastly rush. We will see some turnovers in this game. Hopefully some defensive scoring as well. Go in there, line up and play inspired Raider football. Just win baby!
