he is garbage, next....
He's worth a shot over Loper. He played G for Indy once he lost out the LT spot.

INDIANAPOLIS – Tony Ugoh is gone, and to hear Jim Caldwell tell it, uncertainty over health is a reason.
Ugoh, an offensive lineman and a second-round selection in the 2007 NFL Draft who actually cost the Indianapolis Colts more than that, was waived/injured Wednesday evening, likely marking the end of a Colts career for a player who never quite fulfilled expectations.
Caldwell, entering his second season as the Colts' coach, said uncertainty over a toe injury contributed to the decision.
Ugoh was unable to practice Wednesday.
"Tony certainly has had a tough stretch here during the preseason, kind of up and down," Caldwell said Thursday as the Colts continued preparing to play the Houston Texans Sunday in Houston in the 2010 regular-season opener.
"It was basically (that) we're just not quite certain of his health. Consistently he had some problems, and we just weren't quite certain of when he was going to be able to get back, so we had to make a decision."
The release of Ugoh came after a preseason in which the team has dealt with injuries on the offensive line. Jeff Saturday, the Colts' four-time Pro Bowl center, missed the preseason with a knee injury, but returned to practice on a full-time basis Wednesday.
Charlie Johnson, who replaced Ugoh as the starting left tackle in the 2009 offseason, missed the preseason with a foot injury. He worked on a limited basis Wednesday and said he hoped to increase his workload.
"I'm not going to make any guarantees," Johnson said. "I'm not going to say I'm going to be out there. I'm not going to say I'm not going to be out there. We're just going to take it day by day and see what happens."
Caldwell added of Johnson, "We're all feeling that he is headed in the right direction."
Caldwell said Saturday also looked good in practice Wednesday.
"I just think in both cases those guys are kind of working through any issues that they may have, but I think they feel pretty good about where they are," Caldwell said of Johnson and Saturday, adding of the uncertainty around the line:
"I'm not real certain that in our business you're ever comfortable with anything, any area, at any point in time. If you do get comfortable, you're looking to have some problems. I think that's kind of the nature of the beast. We're always on edge and always trying to make certain that we cover all of our bases. That's part of the position."
The Colts also on Wedneday signed offensive tackle Joe Reitz off waivers from Miami.
"We know he has ability," Caldwell said. "We know he is a guy that can move his feet."
And while Caldwell said "you never say never" when asked if Ugoh could return, there's a very real chance Ugoh has played his final game with the Colts. If so, his was a career that never fulfilled what the team hoped when it selected him in 2007.
The Colts not only selected Ugoh in the second round that season, they traded a 2008 first-round selection to move up to take him. The idea was that Ugoh would develop for a season, then replace three-time Pro Bowl selection Tarik Glenn in 2008.
Glenn, however, retired the week before 2007 training camp, and Ugoh started that season and 2008 before being replaced by Johnson in the lineup the next offseason. Ugoh worked at guard during this offseason and preseason, and expressed optimism and enthusiasm with the change. He said he didn't care where he played, so long as he could contribute, and he seemed to be enjoying football more than in the previous two seasons.
It's not unreasonable Ugoh could sign somewhere else and contribute. He's an athletically gifted player, and by all accounts a good worker.
It just never quite worked out in Indianapolis the way it was first envisioned three years ago
Maybe another option at RG.

I'd be surprised if they didn't kick his tires because I remember Al liked him coming out. His knock coming out was motivational issues about his passion for the game.
