Tough start of camp for the Ravens... Their 1st rounder (kindle) breaks his skull before camp, their 2nd rounder didn't pass the conditioning test (Mt Cody; surprise, surprise...) and now they lose a cb all before the first weekend of camp. Ouch... Still doubt that they would be desperate enough to want Routt. Then again, if Al was willing to throw a first and third tender on the guy, I doubt he would trade him anyway...

Thought it'd be the Jets (still might be, too), but I think the Ravens are destined to be the disappointment of the year that we always have.

You forgot to throw in there that Ed Reed might be out half the season and is disgruntled, the defense, despite their ranking,w asn't as good last year, especially late in games, and that two #2 receivers don't equal a #1.

The bad times continue at Ravens camp.

Ravens tackle Jared Gaither was carted off the field Friday afternoon with an apparent back injury, according to the Baltimore Sun. Rumored to be on the trading block all offseason, Gaither split work on Friday at right and left tackle.

Gaither missed much of the offseason with a toe injury. We'll let you know if the back injury proves serious, further screwing up the magazine predictions of Florio and Silva, who both picked the Ravens to make the Super Bowl.

Baltimore lost cornerback Domonique Foxworth earlier Friday for the season to a ACL tear.
