Well, that settles it, this will be a brutal broadcast.
I never watch ESPN's coverage anymore anyway, but we are looking at 4 hours, hell, probably two days coverage of this kid. :(
Maybe he'll agree, but not show up until Friday. I mean, really. The guy's not going in Rd1. It's absolutely pointless for him to be there for the 1st round unless he wants to get a really early start to his broadcasting career.

As if he hasn't gotten enough coverage.
Where's that throwing-up icon?
Guys, I've heard they plan on bringing in prospects for each day.
Remember, its a 3 day 'event' now...
They'll have First round prospects, second rounders and probably a couple heart warming stories in there too.
28 million people tuned in for the draft at some point last year. Its an actual even now.

Thing is, the NFL has a lot better idea of where a guy is going to be drafted than we do.
I really, really doubt they'd invite him if their information is telling them he won't be taken in the first two rounds.

Gotta agree with ya Rob. I live in Jax Fl and the Tebow to Jax is all the talk right now. I have no doubt in my mind that Jax is taking Tebow in the 1st rd. The belief here is that Tebow is talented and coachable enough to become a solid if not better than average NFL q.b. Not sure about Tebow myself, but there would be a revolt of monumental proportions if Wayne Weaver doesn't bring this city's favorite son to the team. The Jags need Tebow anyway, the team is losing fans and money so if nothing else, having him here would bring the fans back which is what the Jags need more than anything.

I heard that Tebow/Jax stuff a while ago. And I bet you can trace it to one journalist, some guy that was pulling some tubes in his living room and thought, "Hey, you know what would make sense.....?"
This is exactly--exactly---like Vince Young and Houston a few years ago. Guy that plays in the area, winner more than passer, team needs to fill seats, blah blah blah.
And I'll say what I said then: Winning makes everyone happy. The Houston fans seem to live without Vince.
All it takes is one team to think he is an NFL QB, and he'll go in the first round. Maybe that team is Jax, but the fact that the Jags play in Florida don't mean shit.
If the scouts for Jax think he's not a franchise guy, the team won't draft him. And the guy that makes the call, his job might be tied to Tebow's performance. Knowing that, you don't draft a guy to sell some tickets for a year or two.
Frankly, I think you guys are underestimating an NFL team's scouting process.
I heard a Jax reporter say something brilliant yesterday.
The farther he gets from Florida, the better.
He goes to Jax, he'll be expected to play. Early. And he isnt ready to play yet...
People there don't like Garrard much, so the pressure will be even higher for Tebow to play well, which could stunt his growth.
If he goes to New England, Buffalo or Minnisota in round 2, He can sit behind someone for 1-2 years, throw ten thousand passes in practice to shore up his footwork and learn the playbook at a good pace without being pressured to step in and be 'the guy'.
If Jacksonville drafts him, he'll bust, IMO.
