we fail miserably at trying to develop QBs....so NO.

I dunno... We aren't real equipped to develop a young guy, but we're questionable at best at the position right now... I might take a swing at Bradford if he drops...

One of those Chief insider guys who seems to have the scoops on them the past few years says that the Chiefs love Claussen...

I would be interested in some mid-rounders this year in Dan LeFevour or John Skelton. If you want a 1st Rounder again, wait for Jake Locker...

Riley Skinnner. Forget about his 5 second 40 at the combine. Probably can get him late or as an undrafted FA

I like Bradford a lot, but we cant develop young QB's worth a lick.

I would consider taking a guy like Jarrett Brown from WVU in round 5, or a Tony Pike in the middle of the draft.

Unfortunately, we don't have a 1st rounder next year, so Locker is completely out of the equation.

I like Jarrett Brown in the 4th or 5th, too.

Guy has a good arm, good legs, and is an unselfish team leader.

Just worry about his injury history, which is extensive for a guy who only started one year.

it depends

Clausen is a no - i think he's going to bust hard

Bradford is a maybe - if guys like Okung/McCoy/Suh are long gone and as well as my 2nd tier targets (I've flip flopped on OTs so much - Its Bulaga now). McClain and Haden have dropped off my first round board... which means it's drying up quite a bit.

good thinking

if one of them drops to us, could use the pick as bait to trade down and accumulate another pick. But we know uncle Al aint that creative.

We "developed" Stabler and Beuerlein. ;)

But yeah, if the QB doesn't have the drive to figure the stuff out, we haven't been able to make it work. if they've had the drive, we've done just fine "developing" them.

Seeing that, one would think we would target drive as about equal to skill when looking at QB's. Marinovich, Walter, and Russell were the antithesis of driven. Tui was driven, but unskillful. Wilson was decent until he took a pounding, then he went into Post Traumatic Stress mode. He was never comfortable in the pocket again.

WTF? You get to much sun in Hawaii? That was 35 years ago brother! Shit is different today -- team no longer has 8 HOF players on the roster. We ain't developing any rookie QB's anytime soon. Forget it. Besides it's almost a consensus now that Bradford will go 1.1 to the Lambs.

How could you forget Billy Joe Hobert !
