There is no doubting his skills. Pick him up cheap. Make him work for it. Assign him a full-time babysitter. Why not? We need DB's and this would free up a draft pick for another Lineman, or LB...

I'll pass.
I'd rather sign Leigh Bodden.

Bodden is going to want more money. Alot more than we would have to spend to get Pacman. And to be honest, I think Pacman is much better.

Have you actually ever watched him play? He gets lit up more often than joints at a Jimmy Buffett concert. All speed, all hype, little production. Coaches say he won't listen, won't watch film.
Hmmm, I guess he does sound like an Al guy.
Not much of a ball player. Plus, he's a headcase. Oakland turns players into semi-headcases already. The last thing this team needs is to bring in another Adam Jones, Terrell Owens, etc. It can't work in this environment.

Pacman is a waste of time. Guy hasn't been a decent player since his rookie season and he's only gotten older and more crazy.
And we're going to assign him a full-time time babysitter? We refuse to even babysit our QB.

Actually, I have seen him play. Great speed, great instincts, great hitter. Plays well in run support. Gambles, plays a little loose at times. He wouldn't listen to his coaches, and tried to play it all on his own. That was part of his mental problems. This guy was overloaded in talent, and got skipped when he was supposed to get his moral compass. If, and yes I am saying IF, he has at all turned his shit around, this guy has mad skills, and would definitely help our defensive backfield. Try him out, check out his attitude, and if he is finally ready to be a NFL Player, make him ours. At the very least, he would be an upgrade over Routt for sure, maybe even CJ. At best, if he has finally got his head on straight, he is a potential Pro-Bowler. But anywhere in between is better than what we have right now.
Better to overpay for someone better.
Pacman is a virus.
Some of the shit I see people type on here blows my mind.
The guy gives up big plays like Philip Buchanon. So fucking what if he made the ESPN highlight reel every week for a sweet return or big pick...He's like MeAngelo in that regard.
My old man is a huge Titans fan and he hated the guy even when he was making the odd big play.
PASS.

I don't know guys, Pacman's at least as if not much more talented as Routt and CJ. If he comes cheap, I'd give him a look.

One of the biggest fucktards this sport has seen...horrible corner, decent return man. When he was on the Titans he had the luxury of perhaps having the best Dline in the league witha great set of backers. All the guy did was either get burnt on a double move (LOTS and LOTS of times) or jump the mid range passes and pick the ball which made the ESPN reel. Thats easy to do when the QB only is getting 2-3 seconds to get the ball off.
Big problem is, he likes being in the strips joints rather than watching film. Been out of the game way to long to make an impact as a corner when he wasn't that great to begin with. The only way this guys makes it back into the NFL is as a return man. But man is he shit on a stick, no thanks for having that virus on this team.

Let's just look past the convict thingy. No big deal shooting people at strip clubs huh?
Q: Do you still need to weed out guys who `don’t get it’?
Cable: I think as I stood up here last year we talked about some of those things. I think we’ve done that. We kind of go to work for a common theme now, which is to succeed. And I don’t think you can do that if you have a bunch of knuckleheads. I feel good about our team. What I want to do is improve our team. What I want to do is improve our team and it’s talent level and take the younger players and develop them even further than we have at this point. So I like where the team’s at that way. For us, again, the next step is becoming a winning team with some consistency. And that’ll be the hardest step.

:pound: Pacman never shot anyone. What he did was stop a stripper at that club in Vegas from trying to steal the tips he left for another stripper. This set of a melee in which some dickhead who wasn't in Jones entourage decided to pull a gun and shot the bouncer. C'mon P.M. if Pacman was the shooter, don't you think he'd be in prison right now?

Pacman is a slimeball who would drag this team down further into the gutter. I am not sure why we are even discussing him.......

No one's forcing you to discuss anything bro. It was just a thought that Rob threw out there. It's nothing serious man. Less chance of us bringing in Pacman, than getting Toby. It's just there's not much else to talk about this time of year. You get pissed awful quick man, chill.

Not pissed but people wanting to bring in a piece of garbage like Pacman makes no sense. We should be running away from guys like him. It seems quite obvious.

This team has enough problems and headcases. And certainly not a strong framework to watch-over or turn a guy around. I would pass on him and look to bring in character and leadership type guys even if they have less raw physical talent.

Can you guys imagine what would happen if Javon and Pacman went to a strip club together?

I wouldn't bother. as I've never been impressed as I saw that train wreck of a career up close when I lived in Nashville. There was even more shit going on locally in Nashville that you don't know about. Hell, his drug dealer friends were even granting quotes to the local news trying to get him to tone it down because they knew he was a fuck up.
Furthermore, he hasn't ever really played well. After the Bengals' workout, there is even a question of whether he's been staying in shape the past year. All Pac Man ever was good at was returning punts. I don't think that skill is worth the headache.

Yea, Bodden is the guy to nab, and no he doesnt command anything too significant imo unless some team throws desperate gambling money at him. RaiderRobert you bash Russell all day for his lack of discipline, then want the first head case that comes to mind at CB? Not really consistent thinking.

More athletically gifted, yes. A better player? Not for a lotta years.
Javon doesn't need someone to help him make it rain on dem hoes.
More guys who are about their business. Fewer who are about the bullshit. Please.

First time I've heard that spin job.
And by "stop" her, you mean he stomped on her head. Just the sort of classy guy we can all get behind.

If all this is true, why isn't Pacman in prison than? I think people need to use a little more logic when this sort of thing happens. Not saying Pacman is totally innocent but he never shot anyone and he didn't according to my sources, stomp any chick's head.
Why isn't Leonard Little in prison?
People skate on a lot of shit, especially when they're rich. This is america, ya know.

If PacMan isn't dead before 30 I'll be surprised. Him and Chris Henry have been linked as the criminals of the league the past few years and it at least looked like Henry was turning around. PacMan? I don't see it.
And you don't think hanging out with a guy who's willing to shoot a bouncer is part of PacMan's issues? And its because the wrong stripper got the money. Fuck dude, really. How anyone can even attempt to defend this douchebag is beyong me, but to each his own.
You throw money up in the air, and then try to get picky about which dancer gets it? No. I'll believe OJ's alibi before I believe that shit.

What the fuck did I say in my previous post? I said the guy who shot that bouncer was NOT in Pacman's entourage, o.k.? He was some thug who was in the club and trying to make a name for himself. He wasn't Pacman's friend. I also said I don't think Pacman's totally innocent either but he sure as hell ain't guilty of shooting a bouncer. He's guilty of grabbing a stripper to stop her from taking another stripper's $$$. That's what he did. Again, I don't know how many fuckin times I gotta say this, I'm not defending him I just thought hey if he comes cheap I'd take a look at him. He's better than Routt and younger than CJ. That's all I said.
He's better than Routt and younger than CJ.

I wouldn't even do that. Only in a video game does putting him on the roster make sense. In reality you don't want him anywhere near your locker room in any capacity.

Terrell Owens is also available.
I could see this possibly happening in 1977, but not now. The modern NFL "criminal element" seems much different than the traditional Raider "criminal element." Used to be a few drunks on steroids hangin in the Santa Rosa bars. Now, guns and drugs are more involved, which is much worse when mixed with the ultra-egos of todays athletes.
I hope the Raiders learned a lesson with all the Javon Walker BS. I still don't know why we're still paying him.
Having said that, I actually wouldn't mind having TO on the team. I don't think he's as bad a guy as he's been made out to be. He just loves him some him (which is one of my favorite quotes).

Agreed....the Tooz was hell on wheels but he wasn't what I would call a thug. He was more the crazed party animal like in North Dallas Forty. Plus that dude was funny as hell. The interview where he's talking about different players' colognes is classic.:p Not to mention that he brought it on Sunday.
