Declared early. I think he'd be a bit of a reach at #8. Then again, it's not like we haven't reached for a Maryland player before:p They have him going late first to early second. He'll need some seasoning at the next level as he has limited starting experience, but he's a big athletic kid 6'7" 310 lbs plus.

I think Henderson will get another year at LT so I don't think we'll draft a tackle in the first. Selvish Capers would be my choice in the second because he's played RT most of his career and could probably start in Green's position. I like that option better than trying to convert someone to play RT.

A lot of these sites have us taking Bruce Campbell. I'm not so sure he's worthy of a top 10 grade.

Mallett is staying for his sr year. Thats stupid.

Dunlap hasnt declared yet 'officially' anyways.

Campbell is an athletic 'Maryland Prospect' (Think Merriman, Gaither, Vernon Davis...DHB). He can move, he looks like an animal and he's got a boatload of talent.

JPP is a freak athlete and sadly...An Al Davis type pick.

There he is, at 6-6 260 putting on an athletic display that would sell Davis immediately. Notice how he's in shorts and it has nothing to do with football?

I don't know that Brian Price is a top ten pick yet. He's like Ziggy Hood or Peria Jerry. Big motor, a little undersized. Penetrating one gap DT.

Reminiscent of that SJ State guy jumping out of the pool last year. I like JPP, has some nice upside and a frame to add on some additional pounds but would be a huge reach at 8.

Anybody know where to find an official list of underclassmen who have declared? I believe the deadline to declare is tomorrow, and there are a few guys I'm looking to see whether they did or did not. Stefen Wisnewski being one...

Bruce Campbell is a freakish athlete, potentially even more talented than Ryan Clady. Guy also has an injury history that makes me wary of him. And, as people have pointed out, Maryland has a history of recruiting some truly superior athletes and not teaching them the positional fundamentals.

In terms of positional value, a 3- down MIKE rates high enough to draft at #8 overall, but there aren't any in this draft. There are no once-in-a-generation C prospects that merit consideration at that pick. Don't think Mike Iupati is that kinda of guy at G, either.

So T is probably where we go. My money is not on Campbell, though.

Anthony Davis would suit me just fine at #8.

I think you can plug him in at RT and improve your running game overnight.

I agree about OT being the choice at this point though.

I can't see Suh or McCoy being there, I don't know if Derrick Morgan is a big enough athletic freak, and for all we know, Haden could be gone before we pick (He's going to be on our radar no matter what).

Assuming Okung is taken, Anthony Davis would seem to make the most sense at #8 and probably be a safer pick than Campbell. Davis in the first and Iupati in the second would address the two biggest problem positions on the team. But that would make way too much sense for this team to actually do.

Just say no to Anthony Davis! Why do coaches and scouts always think that they can change a player's personality? If a guy is lazy, unmotivated and passive in college what makes teams think that he will suddenly change when he gets to the pros? We need to stay the hell away from players like this...we don't need any more underacheivers!

Starting to see a lot of people putting Haden in the top 7 picks, so that's a concern. He was my one hope for an Al pick actually panning out.

Yeah we could do worse than Haden.

Im preparing myself for that pick, especially with Davis and McClain on the board.

No amount of 'prep' had me ready to take DHB in the top ten last year. Not even 2000 posts about how great he is from Xplosive.
