Dude as much as i think people over do it bashing russell, football wise I know when I see an HC dumbing down the playbook for a QB. And if that is the case, it explains a whole lot as to him not being in sync with anyone. Not to mention the conversations. He calls out a hole in the redskins defensive pattern, Gradkowski executes the exploit Cable saw. IMO though Cable's playcalling isnt much to write home about, the quality of it is negatively effected if he has to switch playbooks for J-Russ.

there shouldnt be 2 playbooks there should be 1 if the guy couldnt cut the playbook throw it out the window back yard football. we where not going to win anyway. not behind that many false starts and holdings. Gallery was down it was over.


now bruce has 2 bum knees. we have a 31 million dollar qb who needs all the help he can get, No Nose tackle. no offensive line. no mega wide receiver head down..

Of course there shouldn't be two playbooks but when one QB isn't capable of running the entire thing there has to be.

We drafted Heyward-Bey to be the MEGA-RECEIVER. He was drafted 7th overall. So what bull shit is that? Maybe we should give DHB a whole offseason to work to get better or is he not capable of that either? This stuff drives me nuts.

I agree, this years draft must be big with O-Line. We have 4 picks in rounds 1-3. 2 or 3 of those pics must be the OL. We need to get stronger up front. If we can't overpower opponents we won't run the ball well. I think besides Gallery we are very week at the point of attack.

Cable's playcalling isn't that bad. It is all about execution. If we could execute the plays called this offense could be middle of the league currently the way it is. When Russell is in we have a tremendous difficulty executing the plays called, which in turn makes this offense one of the worst in the league.

this post makes absolutely no sense. are you saying that after three seasons of professional football, Russell still can't digest a playbook? And since he can't that we should just throw it out and let him improvise?

Something did. Frye is starting and Losman was signed. Cable night not be no offensive genius, but he has command of the players.

We need a playcaller.

And maybe someone should start scouting for some O-Line/D-line for next season.

Unfortunately (draft position-wise anyway), we don't suhck enough to get Suh. If Tampa Bay or St. Louis doesn't take him with the #1 or #2 pick, they're nuts. The guy is a monster. Texas was double-teaming him and he was still destroying them. I'd purely love to see him in the Silver & Black, but I'm afraid it's not going to happen. (Even if we were in position to take him, I'm pretty sure he doesn't run a 4.4 40, so Al would probably pass on him.)
