Here's Hanson on the record finally.

So if all three of the other coaches have corroborated Hanson’s account of the incident, why hasn't Cable been arrested and/or charged? Surely with these statements is would be a slam dunk.
Unless, it's not true.

Your guess is as good as mine. However, if Cable gets fired, maybe you're looking at the next Raider coach, lol.
I wouldn't expect anything but a sympathetic piece from Silver to anyone on the other end of the Raiders, but this one was a bit much. Cable sounds like a monster from this account, lol.

The first sentence claims it was a punch, then it says he was thrown from a chair and broke his jaw on a piece of furniture. Where is the punch? Is this Ali vs. Liston?

I like Cable and all (maybe not as a HC or playcaller), but this whole incident could be a blessing in disguise. If this is true, and Davis decides to can him, we may have the opportunity to get Gruden back.

Lol, yeah right. I don't even think Gruden will coach again unless it's for the Eagles, which from the Reed contract talk, doesn't sound like it's going to happen. Think about it, he's got his ring, and he didn't exactly endear himself to his players in Oakland or Tampa.
I think that's more of why he aligns himself with the Raiders since taking over on Monday night, he wants to be the next madden. I don't care had he coached 20 more years in Tampa, most people still remember him best for being the young Raider coach that brought us back, it's his claim to fame.
As far as Cable, I think Madden gave him the best advice. Win and no one can touch you, lose and no one can save you. tom has to win, like every coach that's failed in Oakland post Gruden. Al let you know what he even cares about the situation in the Seymour press conference when he said, "i hope nothing happens with that." My guess is that unless we lose the rest of our games and as long as they show progress, he'll be given the chance to coach out his contract next year similar to Norv. Al has to recognize the difficult position he's put Cable and Jamarcus in with his offensive personnel moves.
Not to mention, he can't lure the young, naive coaches that he spots talent in anymore. He seems to have correctly identified Peyton and Sarkisian, but they're willing to wait for another chance these days. Gruden's probably the last guy who will take that bait, especially since Kiffin came to oakland, shit on him for a year, and then got one of the best jobs in the SEC after trumpeting the Raider mythhs to his advantage and absolving himself of any responsibility. The only hope that you have is that an innovative coach who is a huge fan of the Raiders is willing to come to Oakland and find a way to make it work with Al. I think at this point, Al will always be seeing ghosts because of the way he came into control of the Raiders in the first place, which leads to trust just not being an option for him.
