Guess he got tired of waiting!
Alfonso Boone helps provide depth to depleted Chargers line

Earlier today, only three of 31 players dumped by the Chiefs since the end of the 2008 season had found new jobs.
Now, the number is up to four.
(Says former G.M. Carl Peterson, "Hooray?")
Our old pal Aaron Wilson of NFP reports that Boone, cut earlier this year by Kansas City, has agreed to terms with the Chargers on a one-year deal.
In our view, it's the Chargers' first tangible step toward filling the huge void created by the season-ending triceps injury suffered by defensive tackle Jamal Williams in Week One. With 3-4 nose tackles not exactly growing on trees (and if they were, the trunks would be bent over like the Charlie Brown Christmas tree when they put a single ornament on top), it appears that veteran Travis Johnson, listed as both a tackle and and end, possibly will rotate with Ogemdi Nwagbuo at the nose.
