I think that declaring Seymour God is a bit unfair. Truth be told, God looks up to Richard Seymour....

He was by far the best player on the field tonight. That guy single handedly changed the entire complexion of our D....

Guy was an animal. So was Ellis. Even Scott had a big game. We held them to 78 yards rushing, small consolation but something we can definitely build on.

BTW Tyvon Branch is an animal.

Keep calling him god and I guarantee you won't have him around long.

We didn't lose this game. This game was taken from us. IN battles like these, every score counts.

nah, we lost it ourselves. we still got some growing up to do but we do have ourselves a football team.

Youngest team in the league and without our go to wr tonite but Russell needs to get that completion % way up. I thought the OL for the most part gave him some decent protection.

The Raiders may have come up short on the board, but they didn't disgrace themselves. San Diego didn't win; they escaped. And they know it. They still have a way to go yet (and a new right tackle to find), but this game shows they're on the right road.

While I'm not a religious man, I certainly don't begrudge anyone who is. Forgive me if I offended you, GRIM. I was trying to be light-hearted.

I know. I just don't want him "breaking a leg" tomorrow in practice. ;)

Yes, Russell had the protection tonight for sure. Better than decent. Wait til' he gets Schillens back and these kids start to come around. Louis Murphy was there. Bey needs to step up and why he's playing above Higgins is a question I cannot answer. Miller cannot do it all by himself, but he is a stud.

Some of the play calling was horrible too. Leaving us in third and long... Penalties killed us too. And, let's not forget those turnovers.

that DMAC fumble was a real bummer and the first pick two (they hadn't stopped the run yet, why'd we throw it?) Have to come away with at least 3 points on that first drive.
Murphy is going to have to get better at holding on to the ball- i'm going to say that call was questionable at best but if he hangs it we have a TD and no one can dispute it.

Lets not forget the shoddy ST play on those two long runs by Sproles.

Yep... Theres so much to tighten up on.

Penalties
Fumbles
Poor Passing
Special teams play
Not going away from what is working
Etc.

Turnovers, inability to hold onto the ball when someone...or the ground...makes contact, unbelievably inaccurate passing, and the same old 4th quarter defense we all know and love.

If not for these things, Seymour would get 18 game balls, his choice of cheerleaders, and a key to the city. Absolutely beast-like performance.

Raiders DE Richard Seymour, acquired in a trade with the Patriots just days before the regular season, started the game and totaled six tackles and two sacks.

Awesome statline, all things considered.

Seymour is a stud, played inspired, brought up our defense, and really if it wasn't for the bad TD call, we're tied at the 4th quarter at least. Typical Ref call. JR needs to get % up as mentioned earlier. Not happy with the score, but happy Chokers were exposed big time. They can't be considered SB favorite....come on. They are done. Pack it in Chokers, the Great Raiders Exposed you on the first game of the season. I Love it. Hate he loss though, gotta admit. Go Raiders, build on tonight.

There is more positive for Oak than SD with the win. We know we can hang, the Chokers now they can be had. And they will!
