I see us winning by a TD or more. It's a new day.

When starting a new era there are always signs showing up the upcoming change. So far I still don't see them. It's the same dark night. Penalties, inability to stop the run, Lack of execution, Unsustained drives... But we will see tonight...

i won't vote, but we should lose this game on paper. Alot of new faces vs a quality team that hasn't changed much.

Question marks

WR-Two rookies, don't know what to expect.

O-line- I hope our right side doesn't look as bad as the Packers right side did last night. Center may also be a mess.

SLB-never filled the position, just passed it off to Ricky Brown.

Jamarcus Russell- he'll see alot of blitzing this year (all 3-4 in the afc west and the nfc east is has some solid blitzing teams too). More so we don't get to see where he is at until tonight.

Darren Mcfadden- His big chance to prove his draft status also. Don't think he has yet. He was the first RB taken and now he has to start taking games over.

Safety- So this is what Forest Gump was talking about, because like a box of chocolates, i dont know that to expect here yet.

I woke up this morning and was running late, found a scorpion in my bathroom, got ready, on my way out, I went to get my red bull out the fridge and somebody drank that bitch! got to work late, just found out our dog is missing! Bullshit right?
So than I get to work, and find out the mistress was being a whore at the company party over the weekend! And I'm like what else could go wrong today! So I got a instant kool-aid pack! Put in a bottle of water, I think I drank about a gallon already! Raiders by 35 baby! Fuck the dolts!

Just don't see it happening for us tonite. Too young, inexperienced against a tough opponent. If we can just hang in, play some semblance of defense, run the ball with DMac and make it a reasonably competitive ballgame, that would progress. I just don't want to see us completely destroyed out there on opening night like we have the last few years so that the team is basically done after week 1. Play a competitive ballgame so that we can look forward to games against Denver and KC with a real possibility of getting to 2-1 and I'll be satisfied.

That's where I am right now, SD is just a better team, I hope we can keep it close then you never know what can happen. Seymour will give us a boost on the line but not like he could had he showed up on time. I really want to see us use Dmac in a big way tonight.

I'd be happy if we limit the sacks and turnovers to a minumum... say 2-3 sacks and one turnover. Limit penalties- 4 or less. Establish the run consistently get positive yards and break off a few. JR make good decisions, get the ball out quick, run when he needs to, and get the ball in hands of playmakers.
Defensively shorten drives, put them in 3rd and long and make some stops. Can't expect perfection but if we could keep them to 24 points or less. If we come out of this game 24 -17 I'll call that a moral victory. Hopefully we actually find a way to pull it out. I just hope we don't look like a fuckin fiasco like our last couple monday night openers.

We need to get Dmac out on the edge and get the stretch going. Don't think we have much of chance running inside tonite. J Williams would have a field day against Morris and Carlisle. Also need to mix in the short / quick pass - dumps to DMac / Bush, wr screens and slants -- need some ball control / move the chains to keep the D off the field and need to slow down the pass rush. I doubt we will have much of an opportunity to really use the vertical game tonite - just won't be enough time. Maybe if JRuss can get back and just throw up a few quick moon shots to and see if DHB can run under them, but he sure better not hold onto the ball long... But absolutely need to avoid 3 and outs and need to run some clock.

And I don't want to see both LT and Sproles get 100+ on the ground or see LT get over 150 himself. We need to slow down that run game and force Rivers to beat us in the air. Put Aso against Vincent Jackson one-on-one all over the field. This is a game I would have preferred Huff to be out on the field... Probably our only safety with much of a shot at covering Gates. Howard better be on his game as he will need to use that speed of his to keep up with Sproles out of the backfield. Again, tough match-ups, but we need to slow them down enough in the running game to force the pass and then hopefully get a few 3rd down stops.

I think Phillip Rivers will use his veteran knowledge to pull out a late drive for a game winning FG. Sorry to hate on my own squad but this match-up worries me. The Quiefs in game two is looking good tho. I was at the Baltimore game and KC's D was pathetic. I wont say they cant run the ball b/c the Ravens are unbelievable in their run D.

I say that the Raiders that showed up against the Cowboys in pre-season week 1 and for quarters 1-3 against S.F. will be the Raiders that show up tonight. Even without Chaz, I think we can still win.

One thing that Rivers will do is turn it over if you get pressure. If seymour can do what we traded for, that'll be a hidden x factor

But the other thing he will do is pick us apart if we don't. Seymour is a great pickup but he's not gonna do much for us this game other than give us an emotional lift...and that's not going to be enough for us to suddenly turn into a defensive juggernaut.

S.D is better than us...on both sides of the ball. It's okay...someday the roles will be reversed...but that day ain't today.

It's gonna be a blow out but our O will look pretty good. Rivers, Gates, Jackson, LT and Sproles will all make their fantasy owners very very happy.

I'm hoping for Rivers to have a Jake Delhomme sort of day...73 yds passing, no TDs and 4 INTs. It'll help me to win in a couple of FFL leagues, plus just make me plain happy that the Chargers suck it.

Honest opinion & u wont like this - Bolts by 12 - 15.

Cant see our o line getting the better of Jamal Williams.

Even with Seymour think LT will have 100+ game

If Bolts go up by 2 scores game over

I expect to see a lot of Michael Bush running out of two TE sets early in this game... I think Cable is going to want to run clock and try and soften the defense up with Bush as well as give the rook WR's some time to settle down... Then hit them with McFadden from every angle (RB/split out)... I look for Bush to get 20 carries and McFadden 15 touches... We need to keep the SD offense off the field...
