Wow!

If this was happening in Oakland, you know the media would sympathize with his situation. Then again, I have to think that Al would have shipped his ass out...

The stories completely different if Marshall was baggin it in Oakland. But the beloved Donks get a relatively free pass.

Mr. Bowlen, a Mr. Jerrah Jones is one line 1 for you... Something about needing another WR since that piece of glass known as Roy Williams is hurt again...

Anyone that missed it, says the kick was an error in judgment, other stuff was blown out of proportion, and that ownership promised to trade him in the summer.

Just awesome. the best part was hearing how aghast Schlereth was.

I hope they don't trade him. i hope he dogs it, Randy Moss style, all year long.

Then we sign him after the season. I know, I know, "we don't want this dooshbag". Fuck that, kid is a total stud.

I don't care, I still think he can be productive....And let's be honest Moss seemed to do OK in NE. I would still take him, not only cause he is a stud but the fact he would get to stick it to Denver twice a year....LOL. And FYI, the more I watch Hard Knock the more I think I wouldn't mind having Chad on our team....LET ME JUST SAY I WOULD RATHER US KEEP WITH OUR YOUNG GUYS.....Just saying!

Yup....among others. Brown, M. Johnson......Especially if Branch Excells at SS, and Huff/Eugene/Baker play well as a trio at FS like last year.....With Mays, Berry etc coming out next year, I was a little surprised we went S that high..........But from what we've seen so far, DE looks like our biggest weakness....

Marshall is a punk. I don't care how good he is. The sportscaster was wrong one one major point -- the most important people Marshall is dissing with that behavior are his teammates. 79 guys working, 1 guy not only loafing but trying to hold the others back. If he's that upsate, just stay home and get fined -- that would be standing up for principle.

The flip side of the coin is the coach and the owner over there. As bad as it ever got in Oakland, we've never seen anything like this. Sure Moss mailed it in during games, so sit his ass. He didn't complain in the media, and Shell woulda killed Moss he if had pulled a Marshall in camp. The Donks lost their QB, and have done everything apparently necessary to lose their top WR. They were one of the last teams to get their first round draft pick signed and into camp.

People may say the Raiders are dysfunctional, which be definition means there is something wrong with the structire that hampers the ability to the structure to perform at its best. But, as we've seen with "The Simpsons," sometimes disfunctional families pull it all together and get stuff done. The Donkeys are perilously close to being non-functional -- their dysfunction so bad that it will inhibit their ability to even be competitive on Sundays.

As E.T. might have said it, Oooooouuuuch.

Ya'll know got damn well if this was Marshall in Oakland they'd be breaking out the party hats on ESPN and laughing their asses off

Wait - not finished yet

I thought nobody wants to play in Oakland - The Raiders are dysfunctional, right Tom? I mean RIGHT ya MF'er!!!!!!!!!!!

McDaniels is sooo in over his head.

The best part is that he is going to completely dismantle the Denver franchise before they figure it out. Nolan will be HC in 2 years.

I hear a lot of hate on Marshall.

All I have to say is that the New England Coach they brought in is a punk too. Denver shot themselves in the foot by, as much as I hated him, firing rat face, bringing in a Patriot (McDaniels), and the casting off of Jay Cutler.

There is a lot more to Marshall's story than his behavior. His behavior is due to the changes the Donkeys have made. Someone probably has as big a hard on for Marshall, as Marshall does for his team. Guys with his level of talent don't just throw in the towel like this. There are ALWAYS two sides to every story. No one is really telling Marshall's side. All we see is the media focusing on the poor Donkeys beloved new Patri*NOT that was sent to the AFC West to, (What Denver hopes), build a feel good POS franchise like the one over in the AFC Least.

I'm sure McDaniels is a punk ass too. He's probably high on the fact that he's coming over from New England to be the Bellichik of the AFC West.

What a limp wristed suspension... None of these established guys want to play in the preseason games anyway...

McD is going to lose this team awfully quick if Orton gets off to a slow start... Hey maybe we'll get to see Bowlen up there on the projector giving his own Power Point presentation sometime this year...

Everette Brown, stats-wise, has 2 sacks and a forced fumble -- unless the NFL stats people don't think sacks are tackles, but if they are not he also has 1.5 tackles.

That does not tell me when he's plaing, how many snaps, or what he's actually looked like. I don't know of anyone on this board in the Panthers' media market.

I have a funny feeling if the Broncos threw a 50 million dollar contract at him, he might like McD just fine.

Don't confuse the Cutler thing with Marshall. Maarshall's problem is with the Denver doctors, his contract, and the alleged promise to trade him. I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe McD somehow screwed up Marshall.

He (Moss) didn't complain in the media

Didn't listen to much radio back then, I take it. He and Jerry Porter both could have been on the cast of "Get me outta here! I'm a celebrity!"

Nice to see Denver grabbing the shitty end of the stick this time. Sucks to see such an outstanding player torpedo himself that way, though. Still pretty god damn funny, but also sad.

Mostly funny.

I wonder. McD, a Belliceck deciple, is all "business." Nobody is bigger than the team. I'm the boss, nobody is smater than me, everyone eats my dirt. It seems.

I'm not knocking it, per se. It sure worked for Parcells and some guy named Lombardi, and it is working for Bellicek, McD's mentor. McD, they say, is really smart. Both his offense and Nolan's defense seemed real organized v. the 49ers.

However, this hardass, I'm smater than you BS hasn't worked for Mangenius, not because he's lost, but because he's an asshole. Word out of Cleveland is that nothing has changed.

Winning cures a lot in the locker room. Hopefully, McQ doesn't win early and things go downhill for him w/o Cutler and Marshall.

Regardless, I don't see how you can't blame McQ for both. Before taking over, he made a decision not to include Cutler or Marshall into his leadership plans. They had to eat his shit or go. Its starts at the top, and Bowen is not on top; Bowen's made it clear that this is McQ's show. And Cutler's gone. Marshall is suspended.

Gotta go back to Madden, "Winning is a great deodorant."

It helps get rid of the stink, but you've got t keep applying it or the stink comes right back.

If winning were a cure, the stink wouldn't return, but it does more often than not.

Yep. Deodorant only covers so much. Sooner or later, you have to wash off the funk. I think that's what ultimately cost Shanny his job. He kept trying to spray cologne on that pit stain of a defense he had rather than reaching for the loofah and exfoliating. Trading for half the Cleveland defense and expecting them to play better in the Denver shade of orange was comical. I think he got 2 or 3 decent games out of them, and then they remembered who they were. That was fun to watch.

Why do people keep trading for Gerrard Warren? Honestly.

Oh it's some kind of coaching pride thing.

They keep looking at the 2-3 killer plays he makes in a game and saying. I know how to make that the norm instead of the exception. :bong:

You put the guy through conditioning drills. Plain and simple. You watch how much effort he puts into them. Then you watch how much effort he puts into the games. If his numbers don't increase, it's a lost cause. You cut bait right there, either literally or figuratively. Literally if you've got a replacement. Figuratively meaning you plan to acquire his replacement.

I keep hoping, dreaming, praying that they decided against it this season to allow Marshall to give it one last shot and then draft DT in next season's draft to get younger because we need to anyway.

There are somepositions Al's draft stratgey works pretty well at. Size and Speed at DT is one of them. Why we've gone away from it...

We need trench mania for the next couple drafts.

Nope, no radio. I'm three time zones away from Oakland, and don't have a job situation that allows me to liste to sports talk radio while I work. Never got picked up in the print media, which is interesting.

Agreed on how kinda sad to see a good player wreck his own career, even for a year. Still, couldn't happen to a better team. And things just got worry in KC, too.
