I know highlight films can make even Bonesy's 8.2 Forty look pretty...but god damn this kid when he down shifts and pops the clutch, he leaves fuggers in the DUST. I know he clocked a good forty and Chris Carter said what good is track speed? This kid has a different gear that is a cross between sprinters speed and GAME SPEED. Just look at how he pulls away....not by steps, by friggen YARDS. And for a big guy, he can stop and excellerate in seconds which is usually the opposite as the larger faster guys don't typically have good hips and are slow getting out of their dig after they catch and plant.

Even if this kid doesn't catch 70-80 balls a year....he can be a game changer. And picking at number 7 if the results are changing a game, taking a tight game and giving you a win on ONE PLAY and he can do this often...Its a win for us. I love Timmy Brown and he gave us great years, leadership and was consistant and kept us in most of our games but its tough for me to say he won games for us...Sure there were a few, but I think that was the knock against him. Of course crappy QB rotations and no compliment was key to this, but sometimes Timmy could mentally break down.

I know I will catch hell for this and trust me, Timmy is one of my all time favorites and is Mr. Raider, but I would fear Cliff Branch more than Timmy only because at anytime he could take it to the house or beat you deep.

This kid IF and I say IF he can carry the leadership like Timmy, be that crunch WR during a tight game and we can get him the ball....he could be that guy who makes that one play that just puts the game over the top.

The best scenerio is if he becomes the 70-80 catch guy and makes the BIG PLAY and gets us the win....But I would be just as happy if the kid strikes fear into a defense and turns into a John Taylor, Cliff Branch, Lynn Swan kind of a guy who you can rely on in the clutch and can be a difference maker.

Catching the ball is overrated. Just ask Troy and Mike Williams.

I saw some evidence that he can catch the ball.Which has been the been the big question amongst "the experts".

And yeah it is a highlight film. But DAMN.he just left guys in the dust.

So I guess it's just a matter of how he performs at "NFL speed".

The Raiders cut Mike Williams after he missed two passes and couldn't make a play. Yes, he didn't have speed, but his problem was, he couldn't make plays with all that size he had to create space and get open. Williams was spoiled in college, where he faced less talented players that didn't contest balls and hit hard. No finish in that kid.
