I don't understand what the hell is going on Darrius a #7 pick! Why didn't his dumb ass just trade back and get him later...and to boot the niners get crabtree. I hope we don't see the second coming of rice across the bay . Than he picks the kid from Ohio...When most of these guys had him as a second day pick... Man the old guy has lost his god damn mind, his son needs to take conservatorship of him...

Oh well I hope they pan out.

The whole notion of saying "trade back because we could have had the guy later" begs two questions. The first is, how do we know the Raiders didn't try to do that but couldn't get value for the pick -- in which case we're in the same boat of taking the guy and not getting what the pick was worth. Second is, how do we know he would have been avalible later at whatever place we traded back to. I wanted another position at #7, and would have jumped on Monroe who I did not remotely think would be available there.

But I do have to concede that the folks who work in the NFL for a living do know more about these things than I do.
