EZRaider, as in Easy Rider, which my wife made up for my '79 Suzuki GS1000 license plate cover. Sold it, kept the wife. The name stuck.
Raider for life, since age 5, or as far back as I can remember.
My coffin will be Silver and Black!
BTW, I "drew" my avatar freehand with a mouse and Paintbrush program. I hope there are no licensing issues!

Birdwell will, Speed doe'snt post as much during the offseason. Plus probably like a few of us he's posting at three or four different sites. I signed up at RKA, so far i've just been chatting with people. No hits on my actual football related post. Cool site, but for pure football talk, this is the place to be for me. So did you at least get laugh at my comment someone deleted? Lol. Man, i've been saving that one for months at least let it get some exposure.

Birdwell, checking in. Glad to see so many made it over. For those of you who don't know, old bob posts seldom, but damn near everything he writes is rep-worthy.
Me? Raider fan from my early days, early 70s, played SS and loved most of all being gunner on KOs. Work in non-partisan politics, used to teach (college and HS), sold audio gear, managed a couple of retail stores, worked as commissioned salesman of high-end A/V gear, and overly verbose when I type.
What's up with all the two-sentence responses? Where are the substantive disagreements?
I thrive more off riffing than work as an original -- just don't have much to say. The exception is my strong biases in favor of vertical stretch, man coverage behind a 4 man rush, the importance of special teams, power running, disdain for ass-backwards football like Cover 2, and the superiority of the Raiders and their way of doing things. Screw the corporate world -- it never could win at football, and apparently it can't do anything else, either. Football people win championships, not suits. Bean counting may have worked briefly for one small market team in baseball, but it takes baseball people to win -- just like football people win at football. It's a VIOLENT game, boys and girls, and anyone who pretends different is either lying or selling something.
