If the Chargers cannot come to terms on a re-worked contract with LaDainian Tomlinson, the team will release the future Hall of Famer, according to Kevin Acee.
The two sides are expected to meet by this weekend to work on restructuring the deal that puts Tomlinson's cap number for the '09 season at $8.79MM.
Even if San Diego works something out with Tomlinson, Acee speculates that next season will be the running back's last with the Chargers.

MY TAKE IS SAN DIEGO IS A CLUSTER FUCK.......
I Think you release LT for Sproles, you are smoking crack, I like Sproles but he isn't proven. LT has been a work horse there, I hate to say it but I would love for LT to go to KC or Den, (he won't come to Oak) just to see him make the Chargers pay twice a year~!
