A good prospect. A hell of a player. Hopefully not V.Ghoston Part 2. VG put up sick stats and then worked out like a champ. Orakpo is slightly undersized and could be an OLB like VG.
Imnot saying they are the same guy, just they have a few traits in common that might raise a flag.
Man, if we could find that 6'5 300lb terror like Reggie White
MF'ers nowadays are getting smaller and smaller

Tragically, we should probably pay close attention to the best CB in college, Malcolm Jenkins.
Will be watching Orakpo closely as well.
Sergio Kindle, a Texas OLB, is a junior with nice size, that the LB jihadists can watch for.
Cedrick Dockery is a G for UT that will get drafted.
Animal's son, Laurinitis, obviously. Don't think I can see him winding up in Oakland.
Anderson Russell is a good looking S that will go top 4 rounds.
Oh, and Terry Robiskie's son is a WR, Brian. 6'2", 200 lbs.

Robiskie willbe our 6th Rnd pick?
Laurinitis would be a nice Rnd 2 snag for those who would like to see Kirk outside to bolster the Run D.

Robiskie drops a ball.
The OSU OTs can NOT hang with Orakpo.
Orakpo just got tossed to the ground and dogpiled by the TE?
WTF?
Alex Boone sucks at LT

Orakpo has a couple pressures already. Not very stout in the running game, but that was kind of expected.

Beanie can hopefully play his way into the top 6. Looks beastly so far.

Yeah, I'm hoping Beanie keeps on keeping on....
Maybe I've got tunnel vision, but when I look at Orapko, I see someone who could be great if used like DeMarcus Ware...
Orakpo has real good speed rushing the QB to the outside, but got damn he gets engulfed on running plays and is pretty much rendered useless
Not to mention.. he's got no moves at all
1 trick pony
Have yet to see him swim move to the inside
Eh... I'll pass
Yeah, I'm hoping Beanie keeps on keeping on....
...
Bengals should take a long hard looksy

As a Michigan fan Well's is the real deal. He reminds me on Natrone Means, i may have spelled that wrong. A more current guy he reminds me of is Michael Turner.
Im freakin dissapointed.
Who out of the top ten potential prospects had a 'wow' game that put their team over the hump? Im talking a Vince Young/Russell performance..
I know its only one game, and you have to look at the big picture, but you break it right down, and Crabtree was underwhelming (I know he was banged up) Orakpo has been OK, Rey Rey didnt look like a top ten pick, and Andre Smith didnt even play.
Oher played well, Beanie Wells was ripping it up until his injury and Maclin was versatile, but still only had 5 catches or so...
I wanted someone to blow me away and make the decision easier for me, lol.

Thats good it means the best player is hidden and we have a shot at them at #7 b/c nobody has seperated yet.
Yeah that.
Or that there just isnt many 'elite' prospects this year.
Who knows.
When Aaron Curry is the top rated senior, there might be some issues at the top of the draft.

If we take a DE at #7, we are going after a 10 sack guy. Orakpo looked worthy to me. Secondary pass moves can be taught, but the ability to get round the corner cannot. Ohio State had a TE in that game in the last 16 seconds, just to doubleteam him. And he still got the sack. They used him in pass coverage a lot, which was a mistake, IMO.
Kid looked like a pass rusher to me. :bong:

Too much pressure... They know one less than steller game will have them crashing down Nips' draftboard... Brandon Spikes is tossing in his sleep right now
I say this every year, it's hard to judge someone on a Bowl game... Some of these teams haven't played a game in well over a month... Practices are sporadic, holiday meals are inhaled etc... On the Willis board, people are proclaiming Maualuga overrated based on this past game, never mind what he has on film game in, game out over the years says otherwise... It's silly IMO...
With all the underclassmen that are probably entering this draft, the smart play may be to try and trade out a few times and then grab a BJ Raji or Eben Britton/Alex Mack/Max Unger versatile type O-lineman... but of course, trading out isn't our norm....
Thats where I'm at right now.
I figure Crabtree will be gone, so I'd LOVE to trade our top ten pick to a team like NYJ or NE and pick up their 1st and 2nd rounder...
Sitting there with 3 picks in the top 60 or so would be very nice.

I think we are at a good position at #7. We wont be paying huge money and we are not missing any major prospects. We still get a shot at a very good player but with less risk. We have alot of needs so Im not sure why everybody seems nervous. I would love to trade down if Crabtree is gone, but that rarely happens so im focused on who will be there.
T's
1. A.Smith, Monroe, Oher, J.Smith.... all major upgrades on our weak OL.
Wr's
1. Crabtree and Maclin would be instant starters and could fill a huge need. We need 2 starting WR's because the position is thin here. Higgins and Chaz can get plenty of time at #3/#4 and filling in with injuries.Selecting either of these guys give us pro-bowl potential type starter. Either would be a great fit with JaMarcus and give him a legit weapon. Ive watched both these guys and both are worth a #7 because neither will bust. Id admit Maclin is a bit of a stretch, but i do believe this kid is a football player/athlete. Something people always scream for. He's a player.
Other
I dont think we should draft defense because there is enough offensive talent to really help develop our QB further... with that said.
T.Mays scares me b/c its totally and Al Davis pick. This kid has crazy tools but i personally havent seen enough to comment on his football skills. I do appreciate the physical abilities tho. How is he in coverage?
M.Jenkins is a guy i want no part of. Dont do it AL! Lets all hope this guys runs a weak 40.
Orakpo or E.Brown - we havent gotten enough pressure on the QB. BUT we also need people who can stop the run. If one of these guys can play every down and be worth the #7 then im on board. Im not sure of that tho. These guys have higher value in a 3-4 in my opinion. I also miss the 6-5 300LB DE and would happily settle for 6-4 285. They dont make them big enough anymore. Mario Williams should be cloned.
Rey Rey - i like this guy alot. Moving Kirk outside and him inside would bolster the run D. But id rather fix the O and help develop our QB.
Curry - again in a 3-4 he is worth the pick. Im not sure in the 4-3. He would be our SAM. Kirk stays inside.

living in california, and being a Cal fan, i'd think ive seen enough of mays to have a good handle on his game, but there really isnt muc clear about him
from what i have seen, he isnt a ball hawk by any means, and he's more of a lay the guy out/jar the ball loose type of deep safety. he has the speed to get there in time to make the big hit in center field, but he doesnt have the fluid hips to always be in position to get a break on the ball and make a play.
he doesnt always wrap up and is vulnerable to poor angles at times, but the guy is so big, strong and fast that you dont really notice it at the college level because he always seems to bring the guy down. dont know if that shit will fly in the NFL, but the guy's physical tools are scary and he knows how to make it work for him while not relying solely on them. it also doesnt hurt that the guy played behind a blue-chip d-line and 4 future NFL linebackers in Rey, Cush, Maiava and Matthews, so the guy was constantly jumping on piles and padding his stats.
i dont think Gibril Wilson is the type of safety i'd like to pair him with, because i personally think Mays would be much better off as a SS in this league. With that said, I dont think Wilson has the speed to play sideline-to-sideline in this scheme. I think William Moore from Missouri would be a much better, and almost ideal, fit for this team and this defense but most likely wont be in our range.
as for Mays' attitude, the guy is a robot, which i think is awesome. He's supposedly either watching film, in the weight room, eating or sleeping.

Cool thanks. I also have heard that the system at USC lowers his potential INT #'s. Just what people have told me. I dont watch USC that often.
Everette Brown, bitches!
Is he coming out?
If he does, he's the best defensive player in this draft
Unlike Orakpo, hes got mad moves, love the swim move on the guy
Heard Gerald McCoy is going to announce today he's declaring
