NFL Labor Talks Break Down

ESPNews reports the talks regarding the Collective Bargaining Agreement have broken down between the NFL Players Association and team owners. The meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 1, has been called off, according to NFL Players Association Executive Director Gene Upshaw. The set deadline is Wednesday, March 1, at 4:00 p.m. EST.

This is getting scary.

The Raiders will be one of the teams screwed the most should this CBA not get approved. :(

This isn't looking good although I'm still thinking there will be an eleventh hour agreement (somehow)...

I actually think Denver and KC are sweating this more than we are...we know where all of our money is spent and who we can cut in a flash. Denver showed alot of desperation by making the cuts they did of Anderson and Pryce.

What it will mean more than anything is an end to the way Al Davis builds his teams. He'll have to build through the draft now and NOT through FA's.

looks like it wasn't desperation, but preperation for the Abraham trade that as leeked today.

Besides I think it's funny as hell that the NFLPA got their hand caught in the cookie jar.

As soon as the teams starting cutting veteran players the NFLPA thought "ah oh"...thus the 72 hour extension! ;)
