I would be thrilled!!!!!!!

No possible better out come!!!!
Carpenter I loved coming out, & Spears would be huge across from Burgess.
Washington fills a need for Dallas too.
Hell I would do the deal for just the 22nd and 28th and Next yrs 2nd for the 4th.

This could be happening since Pacman may not traded......

i'd do it only if we can jump back up into the top 10 and get Ryan Clady

even if that deal were to happen, which is highly farfetched, i wouldnt like it too much

Spears is decent-to-good, Carpenter is still unknown and we are only netting an extra pick while we would still be giving up a quality cornerback

that 2nd rounder would be pretty nice next year, but we got holes to fill now

To quote the first guy responding to that thread: Douchebag

I'm sure Jerrah and Al have touched base. Hell, that probably happens at least once a month. They are kinda like buddies or something. No real revelation there.

Also, I remember Roughneck. Brainless Willistine from Day 1.

As for this trade, not enough value, IMO. I'd sooner stand pat and see what Fabs is worth on his own.

I personally like the idea if it were true.

Spears has been a bust thus far IMO considering he was a 1st rounder. Carpenter has been mainly a reserve/ST contributor although he'd give us some much needed depth at the LB position.

I'd rather try to finagle their 2nd rounder this year than next year's 2nd like Dot alluded to. I like having the extra picks but we still won't have a 2nd or 3rd rounder unless we trade down with one of our firsts.

I don't see it happening plus I didn't see any mention of breaking news at Wiliistines.net. Usually they try pimping premium with this kind of news.

I knew I should have gotten the patent on that name. I'd have a few bucks saved up with as much run as it's gotten.

I've been on record since he was drafted that Spears was a horrible fit as a 3-4 end. He doesn't have the greatest speed but he'd be a monster as a 4-3 RDE.

Carpenter I'm less thrilled about though I think we could lightly pencil him in as competing to start at SLB

I like the idea of trading down but as stands we move down too far... If we can repackage both picks to a team in the 8 - 14 range and pick up Clady and a late 2nd/high 3rd... well then I'm ecstatic

Spears was a 34 end at LSU. He's 300 pounds and kinda slow. Seemed like an easy pick for a team running a 34.

Meh I get that but I didn't like how he would hold up in the NFL. It would also limit a lot of his potential. I think I was right on both ends. Let him be a bullrushing base end and you'll have a much more productive player.

Honestly, I liked him as a DT coming out. But when Dallas took him, I thought it made a lot of sense. Maybe he'll do more damage in Wade's more aggressive version of the scheme.

I get why they took him... 300 pound guy with experience in the 3-4 and some pass rush from the position. He's not the monster type that Parcells likes however. Wades system is a better fit but he's still not going to be as effective at pass rushing. Its like having a tank with a machine gun turret and only using the machine gun in war situations. Gotta unleash the cannon sometimes.

I wouldn't like that deal.

Spears/Carpenter for Washington is right for the positions, but wrong for the productivity, IMO.

If I'm going to drop from 1.4 to 1.22 and 1.28, I want to get a legitimate upgrade from Fabian.

Yeah... you would have had enough money to pay for their Super Duper Premium Membership by now...

Of course they would have to un-ban you first...

Roughneck75, wasn't it?

I didn't buy this rumor the first time, and don't buy it now. Marcus Spears?

And we're throwing Fabien in? That's a negative, Ghost Rider.
