Competition... We didn't give him a signing bonus, nothing is guaranteed, it's only a 1 year deal, and it's still January. What's not to like about the signing? If he gets outplayed, the Raiders can cut him without consequence.

If it were that simple, that would be one thing. But with Al around, and Sam being one of his chosen few, "competition" may be a relative term.

Hopefully this won't prove to be the case. But I'll be surprised if he's not on the final roster.
