Actually, I thought he'd be a little bit better coaching on the college level. Boy was I wrong.

Is it wrong that I snickered a little?

They haven't have a losing season in, what? 40 years? Callahan drops them below .500 in 2 of his 4 seasons on the job. Beautiful.

Callahan is strictly an OC. As a HC he left too many holes in the team, both roster-wise and from a detail stand-point. It's not surprising that those deficiencies demonstrated themselves at the college level too. He's like Mike Martz, don't hand him the keys to the car, but if you let him co-pilot, you'll get there pretty fast.

I actually was one that thought Calahan was going to be a good head coach... I got to see some practices when he was coaching the O-line and I was really impressed with him... The guy was LOUD and really got after guys in practice... I think the comparison to Martz is an apt one because the biggest thing working against Calahan seems to be an out of control ego...

I actually wish he had stayed with Nebraska... I think KC is going to make a change at OC after this season and Cal would be a great fit IMO...

I will say that reading some of his quotes over the last month or so, the guy has a huge ego. Saying he thinks he has done a fine job in all areas? Wow. I chuckled a little when I read that he was canned and then it was replaced with the same fear HB has.

I could see him as either the OC or O-line coach in KC. He would probably do well at both. Face it, the last time we had a dominate line, his name was all over it.

He was a helluvan OL coach. When he had Gruden holding his leash, he was more than effective.

I think his best bet is to dial it back, get an OL job somewhere, reconnect with what he does best, and go from there.

The doctor is in/out.

I don't see Callahan going to KC because of ultra-conservative Herm Edwards. We're talking baking soda and vinegar.

I think any team that wants to try the latest college craze in the NFL will hire Callahan as OC. I watched the Nebraska offense change and adapt as Callahan tried to install it, and then it changed and adapted as his personnel changed. He's got the skills to manage on offense. But his personnel decisions were for crap. His long-range planning is suspect. He doesn't know how to manage a defense or might not care. The similarities to Martz are incredible.

Oh, ya, the Dumbest Coach in America with the single dumbest late game clock manager in America. You are right HB, A PERFECT FIT!!!! I'd love for him to end up in KC!!
