Trio of Raiders Earn Awards

Three Oakland Raiders have been honored this week for their efforts - RB Justin Fargas., QB Daunte Culpepper and LB Kirk Morrison..

Fargas Named FedEx Ground Player of the Week

Filling in for the injured LaMont Jordan., Fargas carried 22 times for 179 yards in the Raiders' 35–17 win over the Miami Dolphins. Fargas helped the Raiders gain 369 total yards.

Fans voting on these awards are voting for more than their favorite players. The weekly FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Awards are also a win for the local community. Along with the player awards, FedEx is awarding the Children's hospital in both winning players' market two checks for $5,000.

The Children's hospitals in the two season-long winner's markets, announced at Super Bowl XLII in Arizona, will be awarded $25,000 each. That means FedEx will deliver nearly $250,000 to local Children's hospitals around the country in recognition of the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Award winners.

Morrison Earns AFC Defensive Player of the Month Honors

100407 Kirk MorrisonLB Kirk Morrison.. has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September, the National Football League announced Thursday.

Morrison is tied for first in the AFC and tied for second in the NFL in interceptions with three. Morrison leads the Raiders in tackles through four regular season games with 35, including four tackles for loss. The Oakland-native also has four passes defensed.

Morrison has already set his single season career-high in interceptions with three after picking off a pass on September 23 against Cleveland. Morrison also intercepted a pass on September 16 in Denver and picked off a pass in the end zone on September 9 against Detroit to thwart a Lions scoring opportunity.

Morrison led the Raiders in tackles last year and was second in stops as a rookie starter in 2005. The third-year pro out of San Diego State has topped the 100-tackle mark in each of his previous two NFL seasons.

Culpepper Named AFC Offensive Player of the Week

Culpepper had a hand in all five touchdowns that The Oakland Raiders scored in the 35-17 win over the Dolphins in Miami. Culpepper threw for two scores—seven and 27 yards to wide receiver Jerry Porter..—and ran for three touchdowns—two, five and three yards.

Overall, Culpepper completed five of 12 passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns for a 102.4 quarterback rating, and rushed seven times for 28 yards and three scores. His runs of four and two yards also provided the Raiders with first downs. The Raiders converted 9-of-15 third down opportunities.

Culpepper's three rushing touchdowns ties a Raiders team record for rushing touchdowns in a single game.

It's Big58 who has problems with the Raiders revieving award after award over there. I should just post the motherfucker and throw everyone on that bitch into a frenzy. LOL

The only reason Kirk and Higgy were able to do what they did was because the Great Daunte Culpepper pimp slapped Chuck Norris, reached into his chest and took pieces of his heart to give to them...
