I was wondering what the rituals were for ya'll. My plans are the most lame, because I get neither ESPN or NFLN, so I'll be at my computer in the AM and then off to a Birthday Party after the second round pick is announced. I will however:
Be eating Pork ribs (cooked in the sauce at 250 degrees for eight hours)
Toast the #1 pick with something alcoholic
Be wearing my Kenny King jersey and raider PJ bottoms.
Anyone else?
PS - I don't suppose their is an internet simulcast anywhere? TVU dropped ESPN and I can't find another. :(
NFLN all day, baby!
I bought a case of beer, and a bunch of snacks, I took the day off work, and I gave the GF 140 bucks to get lost and go shopping... :)
My favorite time of year.
A BBQ tonight, and a hockey game, and then a good nights sleep before the festivities.
Im thinking of logging into MSN messenger if anyone wants to chat that style as well as post.

I started my ritual early this year...
All week long as a concession to aging, I've been practicing whining "What? Who?Nooooooooooooooooo!" over and over hoping to build up some stamina... Last year I kind of lost my burst after we left Marcus McNeil and Winston Justice on the board in Rd2... A repeat performance and I end up a salary cap casualty replaced by some of the up and coming young guns...
The wife and daughter will be gone over the weekend doing some kind of bridal magazine photoshoot or something... So it's going to be just me, lounging in the pool nekkid watching the ESPN telecast while eating a bunch of spicy food...

So we'll have a Draft Day thread...same shit.
Done deal.
I've never used a 'chat room' but I use MSN messenger, when Im bored at work.

I'm just gonna chill with computer and idiot box goin full throttle.
Tell ya what, there's gonna be some kinda long pause before that second pick rolls round... the NFL draft is definatly a marathon experience.
I've been practicing whining "What? Who?Nooooooooooooooooo!"
LOL... those of us that have spent the last couplea drafts online in the same location can testify to alotta those.
Who is that? WTF? I can't take this anymore! I'm sick a this shit!
:D :p
Here's my classic from last year:
"Peter McQuistan? Who the fuck! He isnt even in my draft guide"

HB,
Thanks for the idea. :)
I'd never heard of it before.
Just downloaded and checked it out and sure enough, ESPN sports is there. I tune in because my guide says Sportscenter is on, but it's an exercise show of the type you'd find on at about 4 am. I get that this is an Asian broadcast (the funny characters at the bottom give it away) but do you know if they'll be showing the draft?

I plan on hitting the bar this evening with my puke Cowboy fan friend (the only dude I know who follows football like I do), passing out on his floor, and hope to wake up with a buzz (a.k.a. headstart) just in time for the festivities.

Yeah, but you gotta deal with stupid Japanese commercials:

I'll be playing in breast cancer charity golf event tomorrow morning. I'll be doing free screenings in my 74 Gremlin afterward then hopefully getting back in time to see who we pick second after Ja Russell.
