He was on pimping Sprint Mobile NFL draft coverage already raking in the spokeman money.....

When speaking to the guys about the Raiders.

Adam Shine ask him about his read on Raiders, Al Davis and the highly impressive young coach Kiffin.

"It's tough right now, I visit with them early next week. So I will get a better sense of what more of that is like then. So my meeting with them at the combine I thought that Coach Kiffin was very impressive I think he is differently driven and he knows what he wants to do. I haven't had the opportunity to meet Al Davis yet but I know he is a differently a legend and from what I hear and when you think about the Raiders they truly have had a storied programs. They’ve got a great fan base and a national following and a solid defense and always have had a solid defense I can't remember a time when they didn't have a good defense."

They said they haven't won a lot of game over the last few year, but it sound's like you Brady Quinn would embrace being a Oakland Raiders?

"with out a doubt, people always talk about what are the quarterbacks best friend, one your automatically made a better QB if you have a great defense well they have that.
I think they have so much ability and so much talent on the offensive side of the ball that they really just need to find someone to put all that together. I think coach Kiffin can do that, grant it I don't know I'm not there yet and I don't know a lot of the players on that team, So Speaking from the what I see from the outside.
I would lover to enter into that situation and try to be whatever positive impact on that organization and throw the ball downfield to Jerry Porter and Randy Moss and everyone else they have

I gotta say, I saw Quinn interviewed today on NFL Live, and the guy says everything you'd ever want to hear from a QB... very impressive young man to say the least....

We could easily trade down, draft Quinn and get more football players but...

LMAO!!!!

But anyway ...........

For what it's worth, yeah, trading down and landing Quinn would be cool by me.

Or, draft Johnson #1 overall and then package Moss and a pick(s) to move back up high into rd 1 to land Quinn would also be cool.

A man can dream.

We could never be so luckly. I can honestly say that up until the last few weeks, I wouldn't have never selected Quinn.
Now I really like this kid and like him more then I ever liked Carr or Harrinton a few years ago.

Oddly enough, my girlfriend picked Quinn in her mockdraft that she does each year...

She screamed '' Ooooh Brady " last nite too.

I was just happy she didnt mean Tom.

Dunno.. something about Quinn I just don't like (personally). As a QB? I could live with it if we draft the kid, but he's far from my first, second, third or fourth choice.

I think he's a dick, personally, and I am rooting against him already. I'm in trouble if we draft him, caude I really dislike him. Personally, that is.

Really, Mass?

Is it his cocky attitude (Im guessing)?

Or is it that he's so damn sexy?

;)

I like his work ethic a lot, he seems driven. The type of Gannon style personality that will come in at 5am to look over film and work out. I think we could use that around Alameda.

Turo
04-23-2007, 11:37 AM
Totally agree, Mass. He comes off as 'shithead frat guy' to me, which (speaking of Brady, Wayne) immediately makes me wanna choke a bitch, if you hear me. Same way I felt about Romo. What a fucking douche. Yay, go win some games for us, but then please do go suck a bag of dicks at the end of the day.

RF007, I think the difference between Gannon and Quinn, on a personal level, is that Gannon wasn't an arrogant shithead but was just a vocal leader and perfectionist.

Oh, he seems like a hard worker, all right.

But he sounds a little too polished, rehearsed. I am concerned that it seems like he reads more draft magazines than I do, and that he is so concerned with going #1. He's made it very clear, he's not dying to be a Raider, he's dying to go #1. Some can read that as a competitive spirit if they want, I think he's just a bit too concerned with his legacy.

What the heck is that? Bones, what kinda communist regime are you running around here?

LOL... I think he's trying to say something about our collective sexual practices, or something. Damnit, if I want to hit it two times, then I should be able to hit it!

The one comfort I have with Quinn (Like Gannon) is that I don't think he would let himself fail.

Despite all the talk, I do believe he has a higher floor, and could be a Tom Brady lite, with the way he controls a game.

Dont get me wrong though, as of today:

1 JR
2 CJ
3 BQ
4 AP

I meant floor dammit!

Worst case scenario he ends up being a Hasselbeck-Trent Green type.

Best case is, well. You know.

What am I missing here with Quinn? Why all the hate speech? Granted, I believe that Russell has more potential, but I don't get all the vitriol being thrown at this guy?

He just rubs me the wrong way. Nothing to do with on the field.

When listening to him talk, I find myself thinking, "Well, Golden Boy, I certainly hope you're pumping gas in three years...."

Yeah, not so much a bag on his ability (which, admittedly, I'm not in love with, either) .. just to say that I think he's kind of a shit on a personal level. If we draft him, I'll be screaming his name onward to victory just the same.

He's well spoken, in great shape and let's face it, good looking. My guess is that it's a typical human nature reaction to him "having it all".

JaMarcus Russell is "lazy" and Brady Quinn is a "shit". Nice.

LOL.

To be fair, I'm not down on the guy because he's talented, good looking or whatever. It's that he comes off to me as a guy who is, I dunno, just a little too full of himself and doesn't seem to have as much regard or respect for the process and game as he might. Hard to put my finger on it, exactly, except to say that he comes off as a bit of a snotty shit to me.. not someone I'd want to have a beer with. But, that has all of nothing to do with how I think he can play the game of football.

Once more, I won't go throwing myself off a bridge if we draft him, and I'd be pleased if we do (especially if we trade down to do so).. but that doesn't mean I have to think he's an outstanding guy.

I know man, I guess I'm just commenting on the general perception of these two players. Practically kids BTW. It's almost a shame. Look at me, goin' all "soft" in my advancing age.

Nor would I want to have a beer with:

Red-Ass Rich Gannon
Jeff "cardboard tiger" George
Kerry "dumb as dirt" Coillins
Jeff "mennonite" Hostetler

Hell, the last Raider QB, I'd like to have had a beer with waas marinovich (and not anymore).

I dunno, I'd love to have a beer with Rich or Jeff. Both those guys were pretty decent folks as far as I knew them through interviews and anecdotes. I think I'd get along pretty well with them, but who the hell knows.

And who cares, really. 4 days to freedom.. and then back in the hole for another 3 months. Meh.

Brady Quinn is a friggin' god. And if he was drafted by the Raiduahs he'd be the answer to our problems for the next 10-15 years. Just sayin'. ;)

Who's hand is that holding Quinn's ball? And why did 007 cut (Him / her) out of the fick?
I have a sneaky suspicion it's from either TG's or 007's private photo album.

and his cell has an antenna on it? Can't he upgrade or is this from 2005?

I can relate... As a Supermodel type myself, I have often felt the immediate envious dislike from the average Joe... Sometimes being great looking, buffed, intelligent and extremely well hung is just a cross I have to bare...

Fortunately that's not something any of you have to worry about...
