Yeah, perhaps I should clarify.
By discussion I meant the gritty swish that eminates from hb's sandgina after he, once again, fails to score more than 15 pts in this contest.
Has anyone ever predicted all 10 picks perfectly before?
I think after Im done in this forum, I'll be right there alongside Kiper, Bucshbaum and Mayock as the "True Guru's" of this sport...
Im that good.

Question: Once our entries have been posted are they set, meaning they cannot be changed or is it flexible up until the deadline? I ask because with teams having the first pick it's common to have their player inked a day or two before the draft. If Oakland announces their man early and we already have our entries posted, than what?
I certainly hope some of you ladies actually make it a good race for me

Excuse me? I was the inaugural Little Al!!! And while that makes me the oldest Li'l Al around here, it's more than a lot of the other posers can say for themselves.
Nips has finished 2nd so many times he actually grew a vagina and changed his last name to "Trask".

Yeah, ya kinda feel sorry for the poor bastard sometimes. Everytime it ends its like watching your son in left field get beaned in the head on a whiffed fly ball. Ya know, ya run out there, pick him and ask him if he's okay, ya tell him the whole positive spin of
"It's okay HB, you tried, and thats all that matters... and, way to keep your eye on the ball"

Well, if you had the Raiders selecting Calvin Johnson in your mock, but then they traded him to Tampa at #4, then you would not receive credit for the Johnson pick because that's not who they ended up with in the 1st round.
If you had the Raiders taking JaMarcus Russell at #1 but they instead took Johson, then traded Johnson to Tampa for #4 and took Brady Quinn, then under that scenario this entry would get 5 pts. for the right position in the right round. If you correctly predicted the Raiders would trade with TB then you would also receive a bonus of 5 pts.

I don't have a list of winners or anything like that but I can say that each year the contest has become more and more competitive (minus hawaiianboy, TNS, and Tommy's presence... their kind of the like the slow kid you felt sorry for in school so you gave him 1/2 of your double lemon popsicle).

This rendering is all well and good and MAY even qualify as smack, until you understand the context.
Your wife PMed me before I PMed you. Apparently, you're just now rebounding from last year's L'il Al emascualation and she begged my mercy. While your manhood (?) is of little use to me, apparently she's easily satisfied, so I decided to indulge her by not entering just yet. I am going to predict that before the deadline, we will all know who the Raiders are taking at #1. I just think that contract negotiations will start, or some other clue will slip out, so that by that morning, we will all have JaMarcus in that slot.

The funny thing i remember is all the Steelers fans wanted Big Ben really bad and were talking about ways to trade up to get him. When he fell and they drafted him it just seemed like a perfect fit, and then the guy goes out and wins a superbowl for them. That whole situation worked out perfect for them.

FWIW - Big time
Now, I know I'm an odd dude.
Past misbehavioures (limee) aside, I willingly married a witch. Long old-school Prussian line. Best decision I ever made. She's an old school gypsy, Tzigane.
Married ten years, 2 great kids.
Interesting life for me.
She tells me today.
She who ridicules my faith in my team...
She who speaks of misplaced energy..
She who (repeatedly) has earned my trust..
Tells me tonight.
"What do they call those one-season fans?"
I says, "Bandwagoners."
"I'm one of those," she tells me. "Next year. They're gonna be good."
I gotta say. I've heard a lot of sincerely outlandish stuff come from her, and and an unsettling amount has proven true.
It's weird and honestly, I wouldn't buy it if I wasn't me, but she's never ever said anything about football since I've known her. About my team or anything. But she said this. FWIW.
Now, I know I'm an odd dude.
And now, the rest of us know as well. ;)

FWIW.
You're wife ain't got shit on my samoan psychic.
I remember when she told me we were gonna take a kicker in round 1 a few years ago. She still has the speech impediment from that day's untimely prognostication. She has grown to hate the last weekend in April.

If after the Raiders take Johnson at #1 and the Bucs take Quinn at #4, the rights to the two players are traded, will one earn points if Quinn is selected #1 in the contest?

We have NOT seriously gone from semi-adequate, pre-pubescent trash talking to "My girl can beat up YOUR girl" comments, have we?
I'm ashamed to call you all fellow Raider fans.

C'mon,
You do get that we're complimenting our wives, right? But let's not get all "Raiderier than thou" on us already.

It's not about position, it's about what player in what round. So if you have the Raiders taking Quinn and they take Johnson then swap with Tampa for Quinn, you'd get full points. You could score bonus pts by correctly nailing the trade as well (see trade explanation in Li'l Al rules).
I think its a bad sign, that Im the only one seriously tinkering with their Little Al...
Some of you MoFo's havent touched your picks in weeks...
I change mine daily.
It's like my old bookie told me once. The longer you study that spread sheet, the more certain I am that I've got you.

Umm, nope, Booth was my guy. And I have the Lil Al Trophy, aka a ridiculously huge Fathead sticker/poster thingy, hanging on my wall to prove it :p
But I'm sure you "meant to put him down" or something along those lines, so we'll give you half credit. ;)

Very important:
I just wanted to let everyone know that in light of recent news and scanning other sites, I will only allow Premium 007 members to read my posts on draft day.
Pay palling me ten to twenty dollars gives you access to my insight, analysis and draft pick opinions all weekend long.
PM me now, because I will only be accepting 007 premium membership until Friday at midnight...

As for the Lil Al, I'm not sure there will be a winner this year. We might all whiff. :p

Players that won't make my Little Al entry, that I thought about:
Tim Crowder
Brandon Mebane
Steve Smith
Antonio Johnson
Isaiah Stanback
Aundrae Allison
Mike Walker
Paul Williams
Mike Otto
I resemble that remark. Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part (probably is). Im holding out for Crowder and Otto.

Crowder isnt worth our #33 but will go before or 3rd. We might be doing alot of trading back up if we move out of #1.

That's because I was raised in Fairfield (Tabor Street by Sullivan Jr. High when there was only 45K or so) and we're drinking the same water.

Actually, after I just did a quick pass through the entries it would appear 'Freakshow' is in the lead after nailing Russell, Miller, and the OT & WR positions in round 3.
We're all chasing him at this point.
Round 6 (#175 overall): Walter "I ate you" Thomas DT
Funny.
Seems to me that I'm pretty well out of this thing, unless I get ridiculously lucky in the last few rounds. Even then, I think I'm still more or less out of it. Got hosed from the get go when I hitched my wagon to Calvin Johnson.

I think that hit about a third of us. Ah well....good thing I wasn't one of those guys that hated Russell, but just one that figured Johnson was a can't miss, no risk kind of guy.

I called Bush and Miller(one pick off on bush and a round on miller) i hitched myself to johnson too but figured wed take and trade him then get russell
im happy with our draft though. extremely happy
That was more or less my strategy too. Thought for sure we'd hold Calvin Johnson hostage, trade down a couple slots and still get our guy.
