View Full Version : Per Angry Pope's "Other Stuff" thread: Great, simply great O-line news.
At the Super Bowl, Gallery told Gil Brandt that the team had informed him that he was being moved to LT immediately and Sims was being moved to one of the guard positions, probably LG. The team seemed to expect Langston Walker to move back to right tackle and win that job...per Sirius radio.
How fucking overdue is this move? Thank you, Al, for catching on to what the rest of us knew a couple eyars ago. Thank you, Pissed Off John Paul for the hook up.
Getting big Langston back will be a huge boost. I still believe that in a man blocking scheme, he can be a very effective RT. I also figure we'll get 3 or 4 more blocked kicks out of the big guy as well. Great stuff, here. Just gotta go out and get that RG now.

I would love to have Bentley....wonder if Al had received some input from Art about Walker around Super Bowl time.
Edit: What do you think of Sims abilities at guard?

I think he's going to do really well. I don't expect him to be an All pro, but I like his chances of being very solid there. He won't see many speed rushers inside, and I feel like he has the mobility to pull and lead very well. Gallery/Sims won't rival Jones/Hutchinson, but it'll be pretty damn good none the less.

Art agrees with me, We're golden!
Turner was a friggin' idot for letting that go on for two years. So was Colletto or whatever his name was.

Did raider fans really need Tim Brown's approval of a HC?? :eek:Well yes. Since Tim always has an opinion on everything (especially stuff he has no business being involved with)...it's good to see that Tim see's the changes coming.

I like Tim but here is another one by him...
Likely still stinging from his exit from the Raiders during 2005 training camp, he's not a big fan of personnel executive Mike Lombardi. At one point, Brown detoured into a scathing, unsolicited critique about how Lombardi, and not Davis, is the reason people don't want to play or coach for the Raiders.
A surprised and perplexed Lombardi had no comment.

I like Tim but here is another one by him...Sometimes I just don't understand Tim Brown. And I'm a big fan of his on the field. I wish he would shut up about stuff that is not his business.

Yeah Bones....I have a lot of respect for Tim on the field....a future HOF'er for sure and very deserving....but I agree, he needs to shut up about something that's really none of his business!!
