I hear ya bro.. I've been looking for years for a reliable one. There are a few decent ones, but they are not "living" ones (ie, they never update them when transactions happen). I was really hoping that NFL.com would wake up and publish at least a semi living list (one the is updated every 2 weeks or something).

If you (or anyone else) can find some reliable lists, let me know.

I just wonder why there's a need to make separate sections for everything. There's a draft section and a free agency section and a request for a salary cap section... so what the hell do we talk about in THIS section?

This thread is simply letting people know that this site has Content (Read Only) areas with lots of information on various subjects. Instead of looking all over the internet for information, you can now simply check out the various content right here on the site. As things happen, content will be updated, ie, once the Combine starts, there will be a page that has all the 40 times etc etc etc...

There are 2 main content areas right now and you can view them by clicking on one of the 2 links below. This takes you to either the Draft Content Section or the Free Agency Content Section. Once in the particular section, you can navigate by using the content navigation module which on all the sub pages is in the upper left hand corner.

Vetern Center with tons of experience, paved the way for McGahees 1300 yard season with the Bills

Was pushed out by the Jets new toy in Mangold. Broke his ankle and plaxced on IR for the Jets

He is 32 years old and might be able to squeeze a couple more years outta him. Ankle injury is a concern tho'

Tra Thomas might get the axe from the Eagles.. apparently he doesnt fit their "non zone blocking scheme" and with Winston Justice there.. he could get the axe

Here's a list from another site of some UFA's, not your high priced guys, but rather the under the radar type guys that could come cheap and be able to improve this football team

Deon Grant, S, Jacksonville Jaguars (Age 28)
Grant might be the best "under the radar" player in this class. After spending his rookie year on IR, he hasn't missed a game in six seasons. Over those six seasons (for the Panthers and Jags), he's averaged three INTs and over 60 tackles a year. He's a ballhawk type, and if you're looking for a guy who can handle receivers over the top, he's it.

Mike Gandy, T/G, Buffalo Bills (Age 28)
No, Gandy isn't a franchise left tackle, but neither is Leonard Davis. Gandy is much cheaper, though, and he's just as versatile. He's played all over the line in his career. Last year, he played left tackle for the Bills and played it well, helping JP Losman to a breakout year. He held Jason Taylor and John Abraham sackless. He's much better in pass protection than Sims is, and he can play guard.

Antwan Peek, DE, Houston Texans (Age 27)
Peek is one of those undersized college D-ends who was converted to a 3-4 outside linebacker. Well, that took him away from what he does best - rushing the passer with his hand on the ground - and wasted the first three years of his career. He returned to rush end last year and showed some flashes. He's 6'3 250 and could be a very good, cheap source of 3rd down pass rush off the edge in our system along with Burgess.

Alex Stepanovich, C, Arizona Cardinals (Age 25) (RFA)
Stepanovich, former Ohio State star, lost out to Nick Leckey in the center battle and has been doing spot duty since in Zona. He's young, he's big (6'4 312) and he's athletic. At this point in Jake Groves career, It's not looking like we have solved the problem at center....Stepanovich would be an upgrade. He could still be a very good starter for somebody. I doubt the Cards will give him a high tender, considering he's the backup. He could be a real steal.

Rien Long, DT, Tennessee Titans (Age 25)
I read he's unrestricted, though he seems young. Anyway, I like this kid. He's a natural pass rusher, with nifty moves and good burst. Had he been healthy last year, he'd be too expensive for this list. He spent the year on IR, though, so he could be a bargain. In the two full seasons he's played, he had 8.5 sacks just from the DT position.


Tony Fisher, RB, St. Louis Rams (Age 27)
At one time, Fisher was considered an up and comer with the Packers. He was buried in St. Louis last year, but he's still a solid runner. He's well built (6'1 222) and has good career rushing numbers in spot duty. He also has great hands in the passing game. He'd be a nice backup package for the Raiders.

Per the source, the agents for Bengals lineman Eric Steinbach and Chargers lineman Kris Dielman are telling people that they plan to sign contracts worth $7 million per year on March 2, or shortly thereafter.

The three teams who were thought to be most interested in either of these two guys are the Texans, Browns, and Cowboys.

Though it wouldn't be much of a surprise to learn that contracts have been verbally negotiated before the start of free agency (since it happens every single year), the other possibility is that the agents are puffing as to either or both of these players, in the hopes that someone else will offer as much or more.

Either way, make no mistake about it -- free agency officially begins in six days; unofficially, it's already started.

Interesting, I gotta believe the Wade to 'Cowbvoys and Dielman is a pretty good connection

It'd be nice if Oakland was somehow in the mix to acquire Steinbach

Especially picking so high, it certainly gives the team another quality player at another position.

Yesterday NFLN was interviewing the Giants new GM. He mentioned how they've already lined up some free agent visits. I'm thinking what an idiot. He just admitted they're tampering cause your not supposed to have any contact until free agency officially starts.

I may be wrong, but I thought the rule was no contact period?... The Pats probably had a case of tampering against us a few years back considering we signed Big Ted about a minute after FA started... Somehow I think we'll find ourselves staying out of the first week of spending frenzy again....

I agree. Jerry Jones didn't sound too optimistic when they asked him about participating in the FA market this offseason. I'd love to see us bring in 1 or 2 guys that can maybe start on the offensive side of the ball, namely an OL and TE. I think Eric Johnson would fit in nicely with this new offense.

Last year we got an advanced warning memo telling us we'd be sitting out the 1st week of free agency. If we make it past tuesday without seeing another memo then maybe they got someone on radar. My guess would be Justin Griffith.
