He wants to resign him. No word on if hes expected to be a backup or if hed get a shot at the gig but the rumor is we want to keep him around.

I like Tui, so I'd be all for it. I'd be surprised if he went for it, though, given the extremely limited audition he's seen over the last several years, despite how awful our quarterbacks have performed.

It was really a shame the year Gannon went down, Tui was on deck and then he went out for the year. That was his best chance and an injury messed it up.

this kinda makes ya wonder if we are drafting a qb if this is true. no way we go tui, walter, russell.

Tui has some of that Alvis Whitted Invincible cologne.

I'm betting Tui is anxious to go somewhere else. Frankly the stars just didn't line up for the kid in Oakland. There's probably reason why like Gruden leaving, injuries at the exact wrong time but no matter the reason it is what it is.

Going to another team with a fresh start and all would probably be the best thing for him at this stage of his career. You never know, an injury could open up something for the guy. Being in a different system withouht preconceived ideas about his usefulness could also be a good thing for him. I always liked the guy since he played at the U-Dub...sometimes life isn't fair I guess.

I agree. Just seemed to get the bad breaks (no pun intended) especially after that MNF game vs the Chiefs were he almost brought us back to victory. Nothing seemed to go right for the kid after that.

To his credit, he never complained or bitched about his situation. I hope he gets a chance to compete somewhere.
